It appears the Rangers - and more importantly - reliever Luke Jackson dodged a bullet on Monday. Jackson reported significant improvement in the state of his right hand and wrist after he was hit by a line drive by Colorado’s Ryan McMahon a night earlier on the first pitch he threw.

Texas closer Luke Jackson took a 111-mph comeback liner off his pitching hand on the only pitch he threw after coming on in the ninth inning of the Rangers’ 2-1 win over the Colorado Rockies on Monday night.
